Competition "My Heritage"

The National Trust of Georgia's first "My Heritage" competition was held in 2019 with the support of the British Embassy, Tbilisi. The ongoing competition aims to popularize cultural preservation techniques in Georgia.

The top photo shows the winning entry, the home restoration by Eka Papamichael. Superb Art Nouveau wall paintings, beautifully uncovered and brought back to life by Lela Ninoshvili. The photo below shows the British Ambassador, Justin McKenzie Smith presenting one of the runner-up plaques. 

The competition winners include: Eka Papamichael, Bekar Maisuradze, Ketevan Tvildiani, Khatia Margvelidze, Nika Gugeshashvili, Ekaterine Mukhadze, Nona Otarashvili, and Salome Matiashvili. They represent a few of the many entries received from all across Georgia, including  Tbilisi, Racha, Samtskhe-Javakheti, and Kakheti.

The awards ceremony was attended by His Excellency Justin McKenzie Smith, the Ambassador of Great Britain to Georgia, who presented the winners with prizes and certificates of extraordinary merit for their contributions to cultural heritage protection.
