The contest

The contest "My Heritage" was held for the second time through the collaboration of the National Trust of Georgia and the British Embassy in Georgia.

Announced in March 2025, the competition received an unexpectedly high number of applications—nearly 60 in total. The complex and challenging selection process was led over several days by a professional jury composed of experts in the field.

At the suggestion of the British Embassy in Georgia, the award ceremony took place on the Embassy’s premises, attended by participants as well as representatives from the business and cultural sectors.

Alongside honorary plaques and certificates, the winners also received small monetary prizes. However, as they themselves noted, the most valuable reward was the public recognition and appreciation of their dedicated, often voluntary, efforts to preserve and pass on cultural heritage.
